Clap Your Hands Say Thunder!

Okay; first installment of my hopefully semi-frequent postings. I promised you some music, so I figured I'd hit you with the good stuff.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! - Some Loud Thunder

This is a zip file, so download it much like we did with the mixoff and unzip it. Give a few listens, then post up thoughts in a few day. Dave Friedman (aka the 5th lip) produced the disc, and his fingerprints are all over this; My initial impression is that Some Loud Thunder isn't the immediate knock out the S/T was, but they may have to do with how similar the production is to At War With The Mystics, and there isn't anything as transcendent as "The Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth," but the album as a whole may be a bit more consistent. I'll post a more in depth review after a few more listens, and I suggest you do the same

Michael

Comments:
Thanks for the hook-up Y, now I don't have to mess around downloading it. I listened to it a couple times today, once while I was cleaning and once at the gym, so I didn't really give it much of a close listen. One this that did strike me was that Satan Says Dance song, and how it definately walked along the Lips line of experimentation. Initially the albums sounds solid, but I'll make a longer post when I truly digest it.

Has anyone heard the new Arcade Fire song with all the organs and what not? It's scary how good these guys might get.
